Struggling to find a fresh print for your walls? You’re not alone. Nine By Nine is a new shop founded in 2017 after its founders, Corryn Boyes and Adam Oldfield, spent many months looking for original, affordable art for their new home, but “never quite finding the right thing”.
“We know there are lots of big online print shops already out there, but we were looking for something a bit different and without hours of scrolling! So we decided to build a new site, and keep it simple by offering just nine prints each month. This might appeal to the indecisive amongst us, but it also allows us to shine the spotlight on our network of artists without them getting lost in the crowd.”
Having come from creative backgrounds ourselves, the pair know how hard it can be to promote your work and get it out there in front of people. So as soon as they started working on Nine By Nine, they knew they wanted it to be a platform to empower and celebrate the incredible talent out there. “We put a lot of time into finding the right artists to produce prints with and only feature those whose work we would love on our own walls! It’s important to us that our artists all receive a fair commission, so by buying one of our prints, you’re allowing both them and us to keep doing what we love!”
So how does it work? On the first day of every month, Nine By Nine feature nine new limited edition prints by nine different artists. They only sell 50 of each print and once they’re gone, they’re gone.
All of Nine By Nine’s prints are A2 and cost £60 each. Produced using Giclée to provide incredibly fine and rich detail, they are printed using a Hahnemühle Studio Enhanced Matt 210gsm Matt coated inkjet paper.
