Holy Cow! is a new book that brings together some of Charles Saatchi’s favourite photographs which have been used to illustrate his hugely popular columns for the London Evening Standard, containing Saatchi’s musings on everything from career advice, the man-bun and dognapping to marriage, CCTV and selfies. If you ever wanted to know what the worst job in the world is, how to successfully steal a dog, why you dream of giraffes or whether you can cut it in the countryside, Saatchi has the answer.
Each short column reflects on the world we live in today and is accompanied by a startling image, carefully chosen by Saatchi, and revealing more than first meets the eye. In total, the book contains 56 lessons on life, packed with amusing anecdotes and jaw-dropping facts alongside 56 images that will make you look twice.
Saatchi is of course founder of global advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi and is internationally renowned for raising the profile of contemporary art at his Saatchi Gallery. He writes regularly for the British press and has a weekly column in The Evening Standard. Saatchi was selected by the BBC as one of 60 ‘New Elizabethans’ who have most influenced the past 60 years.
